Cassava flour production process

Cassava flour is a white powder extracted from cassava tubers and can be used as a substitute for wheat flour. In countries where large quantities of wheat flour must be imported, bread can be made by mixing tapioca flour with wheat flour. Therefore, the demand for cassava flour is gradually increasing, and the demand for the quality of cassava flour is also increasing.

This is the production process of cassava flour:

Cleaning Department

This part is the basis of cassava flour processing, because it can ensure the cleanliness of cassava and the quality of the final product. In the cassava milling process, the process is mainly used to remove rocks, weeds, mud, dirt and other impurities. There are two machines in this part, a sieve dryer and a paddle washing machine.

Using a dry screen as the first stage can obtain most of the sediment, save a lot of water, and also reduce the workload of the paddle washing machine. Paddle washing machines are used to further wash the cassava. It can not only remove deeper soil, but also has the ability to completely peel off the first layer of cassava peel.

Chopped

The second part of cassava flour processing is to grind the cassava into pulp. Two machines are needed, namely a cassava shredder and a rasp.

Since the raw material of cassava is large, we need to cut it into small pieces first, which is more conducive to the work of cassava. The blade of the cutting machine is very fast and can easily and quickly cut the raw cassava into 3-4 mm pieces. Then, use a file to crush the cassava material into a slurry. The crushing rate of SIDA sandpaper exceeds 94%. After crushing, the fiber particles will be pulverized into smaller sizes and will not

Affect the taste.

Desander part

After de-sanding, the starch slurry is pushed into the de-sander through a pressure pump, where the fine sand that affects the taste and quality of cassava flour will be removed. After screenout, the sand content is less than 0.2%.

Dehydration section

Then use a plate and frame filter press for dehydration during the processing of cassava flour. The cassava slurry flows into the filter press through a pipe under pressure. The filter cloth of the filter press has a good filtering effect. It prevents the flour particles from passing through. Under the dual action of pressure and filter cloth, the object formed by flour is similar to the shape of filter cake, with a water content of less than 40%.

Drying section

Then, after dehydration, the moisture content of the wet cassava cake meets the operating requirements of the flash dryer. The flash dryer adopts the negative pressure drying method, which can effectively reduce the loss and waste of flour, and can complete the drying in a few seconds. After drying, the moisture content of the flour is about 14%.

Screening and packaging part

This is the last step in the process of making cassava flour. The sieve size of the sieving machine is different, which can prevent fibers and large flour particles from passing through. Therefore, the sieving device can effectively ensure the fineness and texture of flour particles. Finally, the cassava flour is automatically packed by the packaging machine.
