Detailed production process of cassava starch processing plant
 
1. Weighing and transportation: In the cassava starch processing plant, the unprocessed cassava is weighed with a floor scale for processing. Then it is transported to the cleaning machine through a belt conveyor.
 
2. Cleaning: Wash the weighed cassava with a dry sieve to remove foreign matter on the cassava. No water is needed in this process.
 
3. Washing: Water is added to the paddle washing machine of the cassava starch processing plant to further remove the sand, dirt, soil and other impurities attached to the cassava. Using backwashing method, the washing effect is better.
 
4. Cutting: Cut the cassava into small pieces of 1-2 cm, ready for crushing operation.
5. Crushing: In cassava starch processing plants, crushing is a key factor affecting starch production. Use high-efficiency cassava powder to completely grind the cassava into a slurry to increase the extraction rate of starch, thereby obtaining more starch. 6. Separation: The starch puree contains many minor substances, which need to be separated in a series of steps in the tapioca starch processing plant. Separation is a step aimed at removing fibers from starch slurry.
 
7. Desanding: As the word indicates, this step is used to remove sand from the starch slurry to improve the taste of tapioca starch.
8. Concentration and refining: In tapioca starch processing plants, this step is used to separate insoluble protein, residual soluble protein and other minor substances from starch slurry, so as to achieve the purpose of washing, refining and concentrating starch milk.
 
9. Dehydration: After the above steps, the starch slurry still contains a lot of water, so it must be dehydrated to facilitate the drying of the cassava starch processing plant. Peeler centrifuges are widely used for dewatering. After dehydration, the moisture content of wet starch must be less than 40%.
 
10. Drying: A drying operation is carried out after the dehydration process to produce tapioca starch with commercial starch quality. The dehydrated starch enters the feed port of the rapid dryer through the screw conveyor. After drying in the cassava starch processing plant, the starch is separated from the air in a cyclone separator, and the humid air is discharged through an induced draft fan.
 
11. Sieving and packaging: The starch obtained is then sieved to the required particle size through a vibrating screen. Then use an automatic packaging machine to pack the starch into 25kg to 50kg per bag.
