Starch in cassava root-how to make cassava flour-how to make cassava flour

Step 1: Harvest cassava to produce cassava flour:
Harvest mature cassava from the farm and immediately load it into the processing shed. If the number of cassava harvested cannot be shipped on the same day due to logistical reasons, do not remove the cassava from the stem and leaves before preparing the means of transportation. That is, even if the cassava has been uprooted, as long as the cassava is still attached to the leaves and stems, fermentation will not occur. However, when pulling out cassava, care must be taken not to hurt the cassava.

Step 2: Clean and wash cassava

Using our dry screen + paddle washing machine can fully separate cassava and impurities in the production process of cassava flour. During the cassava cleaning and washing process, some of the cassava skin will be removed. Full washing can ensure the taste of cassava flour.
Step 3: Grinding and filing

Tubers are ground and have a low rate of breakage. This means that 50% of the tapioca flour is not isolated and mixed with fiber. During the rough grinding process, process water should be added to dilute the slurry. The cassava pulp in the collection tank is pumped into the desander cyclone. Therefore, the special design of cassava powder is very important for the fineness and freeness of cassava powder. Using cassava powder in the cassava powder crushing process to produce cassava powder can obtain a higher crushing effect, making the cassava powder taste better and finer .

Step 4: Desanding

In the sand removal process, coarse particles such as sand and saw teeth will be removed from the cassava pulp. The unit is made of ceramic ring net, sand collection box, automatic sand removal valve and backwashing device. Backwashing can avoid the loss of cassava flour during the sand removal process. In the process of producing cassava flour, the de-slurry slurry is sent to the dehydration device.
Step 5: Dehydration
Cassava peel contains toxic substances of hydrocyanic acid. In this unit, we used a plate and frame filter press to study the dehydration and detoxification processes of cassava flour.

When the mud reaches a certain liquid position in the mud tank, dewatering starts with a filter press. The material is then transported to the cassava flour drying process through a belt conveyor.
Step 6: Drying
The water content of the cassava flour cake after dehydration is as high as 45 ~ 50%, it can not directly enter the flash dryer, but mixed with dry powder to reduce the moisture to 38%, and then conveyed to the feed port of the flash dryer by a conveyor belt Pass the feeder and enter the riser.
Starch is one of the most abundant substances in nature, and it is a renewable and almost unlimited resource. Tapioca starch is mainly produced by wet grinding fresh cassava roots, but cassava starch can also be produced from dried cassava chips. Tapioca starch is used to produce various products, such as food, paper, textiles, adhesives, beverages, confectionery, pharmaceuticals and building materials.
